What: Buzludzha is a historical peak in Central Stara Planina, Bulgaria and has 1441 meters high. In 1868 was the site of the final battle between the rebels led by Hadji Dimitar and Stefan Bulgarian against the Turkish. In 1991 the Socialists led by Dimitar Blagoev, ordered the construction of the Buzludzha Monument, and it became a symbol of socialism in Bulgaria. Designed by Guéorguy Stoilov, its construction was made possible by funding from the government of the time and voluntary donations, the sum of the aggregate exceed 10 million US dollars. The transition to capitalism has brought the unbelievable and absolut abandonment.
